Email discussion groups allow any number of people to participate in ongoing discussion in a very simple way.  Once an email address is added to a list of members of an email group, the owner of that address is informed and given the email address of the group. A single message sent to that address is then multiplied, with a copy going to every other member.  So, in turn, every member receives all posts sent in reply by other members.

The email group system we are experimenting with is 'Googlegroups'.  It has a very powerful archiving and archive-search facility.  (For those who might be concerned about having every stray thought recorded like this there is the option of either deleting past messages from the archive, or of specifying that a given post not be archived.)

You must also be a member of VOTF to join this discussion.)
